Certified Pre-Owned Vs Used

Simply put, a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle is a used vehicle that's been inspected and reconditioned but still covered with a limited warranty and purchased from a dealership. Buying certified pre-owned vehicles can be less risky than buying non-certified or privately sold used vehicles, which may not have undergone any stringent certification process.

Two Types of Nissan Certification

Nissan now offers two ways to buy a pre-owned Nissan with confidence. Both Nissan Certified and Certified Select come with a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™, a guaranteed trade in and 24/7 roadside assistance for the duration of its respective warranty.

Nissan Certified

• Must be less than six years old from the new car's in-service date
• Have less than 80,000 miles on the odometer
• Must have a clean, non-branded title
• Must pass a comprehensive 167-point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection
• 7-year/100,000, which ever comes first, limited warranty

Certified Select

• Must be less than 10 years old from the new car's in-service date
• Have less than 100,000 miles on the odometer
• Must have a clean, non-branded title
• Must pass a comprehensive 84-point Nissan Certified Pre-Owned inspection
• 6-month/6,000, which ever comes first, limited warranty
